As we reported earlier, AEW President Tony Khan revealed on Busted Open Radio that he’s working on something big.

Below is what he said:

“There will be a lot of news in the week ahead. I don’t know if I’ll get it done by tonight but stay tuned in the week ahead.

I’m working on something pretty big. It would be massive.

I’m looking forward to hopefully making it happen. Stay tuned. I hopefully will get it done and will have more to announce soon.”

While it’s not known if Tony’s announcement will be regarding new wrestlers coming in, but the Wrestling Observer is reporting that AEW is expected to sign former WWE wrestlers Jeff Hardy, Buddy Murphy (Buddy Matthews) and Isiah “Swerve” Scott (Shane Strickland) soon:

“Khan has also talked about signing more new talent with Keith Lee signed and Shane Strickland and Jeff Hardy both expected to be coming at some point and other ex-WWE names have been talked with, such as Buddy Matthews.”
