• AEW Star Is Leaving, WrestleMania 39 Appearance Coming?
Brian Cage is currently the ROH World 6-Man Tag Team Champion, but he isn’t under a contract with AEW.
Cage, Kaun & Toa Liona, together known as The Embassy, are scheduled to defend the 6-Man Tag Team Titles against AR Fox, Blake Christian & Metalik this Friday night at ROH Supercard of Honor 2023.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Cage agreed to work extra dates, despite not being under contract, until he drops the Title:
“Brian Cage apparently is finishing up. That’s what I hear, that he’s finishing up unless they sign him to a new deal. If they do, then he’s not finishing up.
His deal has expired, but he’s agreed to do business and drop the belts on the way out if in fact he doesn’t sign. We’ll see how that turns out.”
Last week, there was a rumor going on that Cage might show up at WrestleMania 39 to face Bobby Lashley, who doesn’t have an opponent anymore (due to Bray Wyatt being out of action).
If Cage finishes up with AEW/ROH on Friday, he could certainly show up at WrestleMania Hollywood on Saturday or Sunday, especially since Supercard of Honor is also taking place in Los Angeles.

• Old School Wrestling Legend Celebrates His Birthday
Old School Wrestling Legend “Rugged” Ronnie Garvin (Real name: Roger Barnes) turns 78 today.
Garvin wrestled during the 60s, 70s, 80s & early 90s, and worked for several territories / promotions during his career, such as Jim Crockett Promotions, International Championship Wrestling , Georgia Championship Wrestling, Championship Wrestling from Florida, the American Wrestling Association, Smoky Mountain Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation.
By far Garvin’s biggest accomplishment was winning the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair on September 25, 1987.
Ron is the stepfather of Fabulous Freebirds member “Gorgeous” Jimmy “Jam” Garvin, but was not related to his kayfabe/storyline brother Terry Garvin.
He has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, which many experts do believe, will happen eventually.
