On last night’s post-WrestleDream episode of AEW Collision, Edge aka Adam Copeland appeared in the main event and said that he came to All Elite Wrestling because he wanted to team up with his best friend Christian Cage again.
He said that he was surprised when Christian told him to “screw himself” on Dynamite and stopped taking his calls. He added that Christian is in his James Bond Villain Phase.
Christian appeared on the titantron and said that he can do whatever he wants to.
Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne then surrounded the ring and tried to take out Copeland, but Copeland tried to fight back. However, Luchasaurus took him out with a Chokeslam and a Back Lariat.
The heels then tried to hit him with the Con-Chair-To, but Darby Allin came out to make the save. He took out Luchasaurus with a chair, and was about to hit Wayne with it, but Wayne took him out with a Shotgun Dropkick. Wayne then hit the Con-Chair-To on Allin’s injured arm to end the show.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Luchasaurus got hurt during this segment, and might have broken his finger.
It was also noted that Wayne taking out Allin was possibly an injury angle being set up for him.
Luchasaurus is set to wrestle Adam Copeland in The Rated-R Superstar’s first match in AEW on “Title Tuesday” Dynamite this week.
