Tonight’s AEW WrestleDream 2023 pay-per-view took place at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. This PPV was a tribute show for the legendary Antonio Inoki, who passed away one year ago today.

– Claudio Castagnoli def. Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett
After losing his AEW debut match, Barnett praised Claudio and said he’ll face him again someday.
Also, Jon Moxley returned (he suffered a concussion at Dynamite: Grand Slam) and accompanied Claudio for this match.

With this win, AEW crowned Bryan the best technical wrestler in the world. Zack refused to shake Bryan’s hand after the match. While Bryan was celebrating, former UFC Champion & current ONE Champion “Mighty Mouse” Demetrious Johnson was shown at ringside.
– The Don Callis Family (Will Ospreay, Sammy Guevara & Konosuke Takeshita) def. Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi
During the ending moments of the match, Don Callis attacked Jericho with Jericho’s own baseball bat behind the referee’s back, which led to Guevara pinning Y2J.
– FTR (c) def. Aussie Open to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship
With this result, FTR vs. Young Bucks for the 4th time is set, for the AEW World Tag Team Titles.
– Christian Cage (c) def. Darby Allin 2-1 in a 2-Out-Of-3 Falls Match to retain the TNT Championship
Darby won the first fall and Christian won the second fall via count-out when Christian slammed Darby on the steel ring steps. Darby was being taken to the back on a stretcher, but Christian frog splashed him on top of the stretcher. Christian then ripped the padding of the ring and hit the Killswitch on the wooden ring floor, but Darby kicked out.
Christian low-blowed Darby and tried to use the TNT Title, but Nick Wayne snatched the title away. Nick then turned heel on Darby out of nowhere and hit him with the title. Christian then pinned Darby to win the 3rd fall.

Cage & Wayne kept attacking Darby, which led to Sting coming out to make the save. Luchasaurus then joined in. Christian was about to hit the Con-Chair-To on Sting, but the lights went out.
WWE Hall of Fame Edge then made his debut! He came out to his usual Metalingus theme song! It looked like Edge was about to turn heel, but he attacked the heels with the chair and delivered spears! Adam Copeland is All Elite! They still called him The Rated-R Superstar! Edge shook hands with Darby & Sting to end the PPV.
