• AEW Wrestler Gives An Update After Friday’s Incident
As we reported before, Action Andretti vs. Slim J got stopped at Friday’s AEW Dark: Elevation tapings in Orlando.
The medical team checked on Andretti and fans in attendance thought he suffered an injury.
A couple of fans who were in attendance noted the following on Twitter:
“The match has been called off, there is a medic in the ring checking on Action Andretti, maybe a concussion?”
“His leg was twitching, I hope he’s ok. Glad he was able to walk out assisted.”
In an update, Andretti noted on Twitter that he didn’t suffer an injury:
“To anyone wondering, I did not suffer any injuries at the Dark tapings in Orlando and am 100% healthy!
I want to thank the AEW medical team and the rest of the AEW staff for taking the proper safety precautions to ensure that I was ok and had no serious injuries. 🙏🏽”
For those who don’t know, Andretti pinned Chris Jericho in his AEW TV debut on Dynamite: Winter In Coming in December 2022. This upset was compared to Razor Ramon getting pinned by The Kid (later known as 1-2-3 Kid and as X-Pac during the Attitude Era) in the WWF in 1993.
