Below are a couple of top AEW news stories of the day:

– At the AEW WrestleDream PPV, FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) defeated Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher) to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Mark might have broken his wrist during this bout:

“Mark Davis, I think, may have broken his wrist. Tony did not answer a question about any other injuries, but I did have someone else say that they thought that he had broken his wrist, but that’s not 100% confirmed. But when I brought it up, they were like, Yeah, I think that’s what happened.”

Davis later confirmed this injury by tweeting the following:

“Sometimes you win em, sometimes you snap your wrist.”

– At the AEW WrestleDream PPV, The Young Bucks won a Fatal 4-Way match to become the #1 contenders for FTR’s AEW World Tag Team Championship.

On the latest episode of Being The Elite, Matt Jackson of Young Bucks teased a surprise for this Wednesday’s 4-year anniversary edition of Dynamite:

“Just don’t forget it. Denver. There we go. There’s been a lot of shows. Obviously, we’ve had shows. We’re trying to travel from the West Coast to the East Coast every single week. Besides, this one’s in Denver. It’s been a lot. It’s taxing.

Guess what? Big night for us, right? Adam Copeland debuts. We got our future title match. Yeah, Big things. I would like to do that, by the way. We’re all tired, so I have a little bit of a surprise to make, travel, a little bit of a surprise for us this Wednesday coming up.

Stay tuned. I think you guys are all going to be happy. Rick’s invited, too.”
