• AEW Wrestler Leaving, Reveals Reason For Tony Khan Not Re-Signing Him

Jack Evans is leaving AEW. Below is what he posted on Twitter:

“My time with AEW has been a fun and enjoyable but it has come to an end as I will not be re-signed when my contract ends at the end of April.

I’d like to thank everyone at AEW and the AEW fans for the opportunity.”

A fan then asked him if his tag team partner Angélico is leaving All Elite Wrestling too.

Below is what he replied:

“That is an @AngelicoAAA question. I don’t want to speak on someone else’s contract.”

Another fan asked:

“Are you gonna return to AAA or you’re thinking of joining another promotion?”

He replied:

“No plans at all right now.”

Evans (age 40) then wrote the following about why Tony Khan didn’t re-sign him:

“I think the release is largely because after the 4 month COVID lay off and then the time off from the broken face I had a performance drop off I never really came back from.

It is part of the business. Not to diss myself but I wasn’t giving any added value to the company truthfully and with a big roster you do gotta make cuts.”

Jack is leaving AEW with a record of 18 wins and 44 losses.
