• AEW’s Secret Championships Exposed – Furious Staff Want Them Unleashed

AEW reportedly has two full sets of championship belts that have never made it to TV, and frustration is building behind the scenes. According to Bodyslam, AEW created custom “Inter-Generational Tag Team Championship” over a year ago. These were designed as Father & Son Tag Team Titles, intended to introduce a unique division focused on generational teams. Despite the belts being physically made, they’ve yet to debut or be acknowledged on TV. The concept quietly influenced several storylines. Christian Cage’s alliance with Nick Wayne was part of the groundwork. Billy Gunn’s “Daddy A$$” relationship with The Acclaimed – particularly his chemistry with Anthony Bowens – was also meant to tie into this theme. AEW had even discussed involving well-known family duos such as Ricky and Kerry Morton, a Von Erich pairing, and even teasing a return of Jurassic Express under the tongue-in-cheek idea of prehistoric lineage.

One proposed direction featured Christian and Nick Wayne facing The Hurt Syndicate in a title match, with a dramatic betrayal angle baked into the finish. That plan never materialized, but it was part of a broader creative blueprint for the division.

In addition to the Father & Son belts, AEW also had Women’s Tag Team Championships made at the same time. Those titles have similarly gone unused and have been sitting in storage for roughly a year.

While there’s no official confirmation that either set of titles will appear on AEW programming anytime soon, recent internal chatter suggests frustration is growing. Some within the company reportedly want the information out before the ideas are changed again or quietly dropped altogether.

• Vickie Guerrero Is Returning To WWE

Vickie Guerrero, one of WWE’s most recognizable personalities from the late 2000s and early 2010s, could soon be making her way back to the company. According to Fightful Select, Guerrero has recently told multiple people that she expects to be involved with WWE again “in a few weeks.”

While exact details about what she’ll be doing haven’t been revealed, her comments come just as WWE is preparing for the all-women’s Evolution PLE on July 13. Guerrero’s relationship with WWE hit a rough patch after her time with AEW, where she worked from 2019 to 2023. She had previously claimed that joining AEW led WWE to sever ties with her. Despite that, she appeared on the September 13, 2024 episode of SmackDown, suggesting that fences may have been mended.

Vickie Guerrero first became a regular WWE figure in 2006, following the real-life death of her husband, Eddie Guerrero. Originally introduced as part of a tribute storyline, she eventually evolved into a full-time character, becoming one of the most effective heel authority figures in the company’s modern era. With her signature “Excuse me!” catchphrase and villainous role as General Manager of SmackDown (2007 to 2011) and RAW (2011 to 2013), Guerrero played a major part in WWE storylines for nearly a decade.

She officially departed WWE in 2014 but made a handful of guest appearances afterward, until her move to AEW temporarily halted communication with her former employer.

Now, with backstage signs pointing to her return and speculation swirling around upcoming WWE programming, Vickie Guerrero’s presence on TV again could be just around the corner.
