• WWE Hall Of Famer Refused To Have Life-Saving Surgeries & This Resulted In His Death
As we noted before, WWE Hall of Famer Nikolai Volkoff passed away at the age of 70.
Volkoff was admitted in the hospital for dehydration and other issues and was released just a few days ago. He passed away yesterday morning.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer discussed what exactly happened with Volkoff and revealed that Volkoff refusing to have life-saving surgeries resulted in his death.
Below is what Meltzer said (credit to Ringsidenews for transcription):
“Brian Blair said Volkoff had a heart attack a week or so ago and they told him that he needed open heart surgery and he said no. They said the least we need is a stint put in you need surgery for that and he said no again.”
Nikolai was a former WWF Tag Team Champion, a former two time WWWF International Tag Team Championship and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.

WWE Champion AJ Styles recently made an appearance at the San Diego Comic Con where he promoted WWE Figures and had a Q&A session with the fans. While speaking to Noelle Foley for Ringside Collectibles, Styles revealed which match he would like to be a part of at WrestleMania 35.
“Okay, here we go because this question has been asked a million times. I am going to ask you, who would you like my dream opponent to be? It’s up to the WWE Universe because we want to give them the dream match. So, it’s whatever they want. That’s what I want to give them. It’s not up to me. They know what they want to see and I want to give it to them. That’s my job.
See, he just said that (a fan said ‘The Undertaker’). I get it. Would I love to be in the ring with The Undertaker? To learn from this man would be unbelievable. Will it ever happen? I don’t know but yes that would be a dream match for me as well.”
