• Legendary Manager Celebrates His Birthday

Legendary Old School Wrestling Manager Teddy Long (Real name: Theodore R. Long) celebrates his 73rd birthday today.

He has worked for both big promotions, World Championship Wrestling (1985-1996) and the World Wrestling Federation, later known as WWE (1998-2014), and in both cases he started as a Referee for several years, before becoming a successful manager.

The most famous names Teddy Long has managed are Johnny B. Badd, Doom, Norman the Lunatic, Mark Henry, The Skyscrapers, Jim Powers, D’Lo Brown, Ice Train, Sgt. Craig Pittman & Jazz.

He was also the long-time General Manager of the WWE SmackDown! brand from 2004 till 2012.

In 2017, The A.P.A. inducted him into the WWE Hall of Fame.

• Aleister Black & Andrade May Be In Trouble On RAW

Aleister Black wrestled his first singles match on last night’s RAW against Kevin Owens since turning heel, which he lost due to the lights flickering during the match.

This booking may be a hint that WWE still doesn’t have any big plans for The Dutch Destroyer.

On the other hand, Andrade also split up with Angel Garza and lost his mouthpiece, Zelina Vega. El Idolo may not go far without a manager to talk for him, and this feud with Garza may be the last significant thing for him on RAW.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Vince McMahon still doesn’t consider Black a top star, and his views on Andrade have changed (who was seen as a top star last year).

“Aleister Black and Andrade were the two guys I was told that were really going to be in trouble because Vince doesn’t see a lot in them as compared to what Heyman saw in them.”
