• Andrade El Idolo Is Trying To Get Fired From AEW So He Can Return To WWE

As we reported last night, there was an altercation between Andrade El Idolo and Sammy Guevara before last night’s 3-year anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite.

Words were exchanged by both men and Sammy pushed Andrade, which led to punches being thrown (tap here for the complete story).

This altercation led to AEW President Tony Khan sending Andrade home for being unprofessional.

On the other hand, Guevara still appeared on Dynamite. He teamed up with ROH World Champion Chris Jericho to defeat the team of Bryan Danielson & ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia in the main event.

TMZ also reported that several AEW wrestlers are “pissed” at Sammy’s behavior.

Andrade vs. Dark Order’s Preston “10” Vance in a Career vs. Mask match will no longer take place on this Friday’s AEW Rampage.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Andrade is trying to get fired from AEW so he can return to WWE:

“Tuesday night, they were talked to, both of them – they were told ‘no fighting.’ Andrade was told that ‘you’re not gonna get fired if you fight, but you’re gonna get sent home.’

Andrade said ‘Don’t worry, nothing’s gonna happen, there’s gonna be no fighting.’ Sammy said the same thing. They had security there, and everybody was warned ahead of time.

Andrade’s trying to get fired, we all know that. When guys want to leave, some will go to great extremes to do that. It’s happened with WWE. I’ve talked to people in WWE who’ve tried to get fired with some of the craziest things in the world, and I’ve told them it’s not gonna work.

There were some crazy stories of people trying to get fired. Getting in a fight was never one of them, but there’s things much crazier than that from people who wanted to leave and get out and were not going to be allowed to do that because the company wasn’t going to release them.

So now the situation is on the other front, where there’s a few people, and it’s not that many, it’s like three, that wanna leave, and there’s different stories and whatever, and Andrade’s one of them.”
