• Another Top Star Missing WrestleMania 34 Confirmed

WWE confirmed on this week’s episode of Raw that former WWE Champion Dean Ambrose will be out of action for approximately 9 months. This means he will miss WrestleMania 34.

WWE originally thought Ambrose was going to be out of action for 2-3 months only, but that’s not the case anymore. He now joins former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy, Raw Superstar Big Cass & Cruiserweight wrestler Noam Dar as the wrestlers who are going to miss WrestleMania 34 because of injury.

Below is what WWE posted:

“Following Dean Ambrose’s successful surgery last Tuesday night to repair a high-grade triceps tendon injury, Michael Cole took a moment during the Dec. 25 episode of Raw to confirm that The Lunatic Fringe will be out of action for approximately nine months.

Ambrose’s successful procedure was performed by Dr. Jeffrey Dugas in Birmingham, Ala., and took around 40 minutes.

“He tore some of the distal triceps tendon where it attaches to the forearm bone, called the olecranon,” Dr. Dugas told WWE.com. “He basically tore about 50 percent of the triceps tendon away from the bone. So yesterday we repaired that back down to the bone where it tore off of. The surgery was very straightforward; we removed all of the extra bursal tissue — all of that extra swollen stuff around his elbow.”

Dugas added that Ambrose has begun physical therapy, starting with light range-of-motion exercises.”

Speaking of Ambrose, he suffered the injury at TLC 2017 PPV in a botched spot when he was supposed to go through a table, but the table didn’t break.

Dean’s arm got swollen after this, but he didn’t take any time off and worked through the pain. However, things got worse two weeks back and then last week’s Raw was re-written to write Ambrose off WWE programming.

Roman Reigns fought Samoa Joe on this week’s episode of Raw to take revenge for injuring Ambrose. Reigns got disqualified in the match when he got too physical, pushed the referee & wouldn’t stop his assault.
