Below are some top news stories of the day, involving Scott Steiner and Logan Paul.

• The decline of WCW is a frequently debated topic in wrestling, with various factors contributing to its downfall.

Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Scott Steiner recently shared his views on the subject. In an interview with SK Wrestling, Steiner criticized those with differing opinions, asserting that they are misinformed. He highlighted the role of Brad Siegel and other senior executives at Turner Entertainment as significant contributors to WCW’s demise.

Steiner stated, “Anybody that says anything different don’t know what the f**k they’re talking about. You got a glimpse of some of it [on Who Killed WCW]. It was like (former Turner Entertainment President) Brad Siegel, all the higher-ups.”

This perspective was featured in the recent docuseries “Who Killed WCW?” produced by Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions, which revisited the reasons behind WCW’s collapse.

• Logan Paul’s unexpected success in professional wrestling, highlighted by his current reign as the United States Champion, has been a topic of discussion among fans.

Paul won the title by defeating Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel last year and has since defended it only twice: once in a disqualification win over Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble and again in a match against both Owens and Randy Orton at WrestleMania 40.

Recently, Paul celebrated a milestone of becoming the third longest-reigning United States Champion, currently at 262 days. He expressed his confidence on Instagram, stating, “Haven’t even broken a sweat.”

He trails only MVP, who held the title for 343 days, and Dean Ambrose, who held it for 351 days (only considering WWE history, not NWA/WCW).

Paul will defend the US Title against LA Knight at SummerSlam 2024 on August 3rd.
