• “Are you f**king kidding me?” – Eric Bischoff Calls Out Tony Khan For Wanting To Win Dave Meltzer’s Booker Of The Year Award

Apart from Old School WWF Manager Jim Cornette, former WCW President Eric Bischoff is very well known as one of the biggest critics of Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling promotion.

During a recent episode of his weekly ’83 Weeks’ podcast, Bischoff ended up burying Khan again and also spoke about those pro-wrestlers who complain about not getting enough TV time in AEW.

Below are the highlights:

On Tony Khan:

“Tony, in particular, says so much stupid sh*t it’s hard not to call him out about it. Like, wanting to win the ‘Dave Meltzer dirt sheet booker of the year’ award, three years in a row. Are you f**king kidding me?

That kind of stuff makes it hard, not only for people like me who have been in the industry, but even fans start to go ‘What?’

Meantime, my locker room is beating the sh*t out of each other, I got to fire people every week, and those that I’m not firing, I’m suspending. I don’t know, ‘Dirt sheet Booker of the Year?’ Is that something I’d be talking about? I don’t think so.”

On wrestlers being frustrated over lack of TV time in AEW:

“Be ready for your opportunity. Injuries are a thing. Contract issues are a thing. HR issues are a thing. Just because you’re at the bottom of the card or you’re not getting as much television time as you think you deserve, keep your nose to the grindstone. You’re getting paid good money and you’re not on the road 300 days a year.

I don’t have sympathy for talent who are frustrated. How many people in the world would do anything to change places with you? And guess what? They wouldn’t be b*tching about how much TV time they’re not getting.”

Lack of television time for certain wrestlers is a real problem in AEW, as their roster grew way too big way too fast for the past 2 years.
