• While talking about signing a new WWE Legends contract, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan gave credit to Vince McMahon for his success, despite McMahon’s controversial private life.
Here’s what the first-ever Royal Rumble winner said on The Hacksaw Hour:
“I just signed a Legends deal with the WWE. Just recently signed the Legends deal. I haven’t signed it for a while, there was a little kind of discrepancy what was going on, but we got it all worked out and was able to sign it. So hopefully the action figures and the games will be coming back out again.
I’m excited. Like I said, it’s a whole new day up there in WWE. Proud to be part of it.
Of course, you know, I never blasted the WWE. I never blasted Vince. As bad as he was, I still wouldn’t be where I am without him. Wrestling wouldn’t be where it is without him.
I can’t vouch for his character—but as a businessman, that took wrestling from high school gyms and National Guard armories to what it is today.”

• Road Dogg admitted he spent 10 years believing he and CM Punk hated each other, only to realize he had been holding onto something that wasn’t real. Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, he said he assumed Punk disliked him, and he felt the same.
However, when Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, he immediately hugged Road Dogg, breaking the ice. That moment made Road Dogg realize Punk likely never thought about their supposed issues, and that it didn’t matter what either of them had thought.
Road Dogg also noted that Punk seems like a different person now. He once told Punk he appreciated his attitude, to which Punk replied that no one had ever said that to him before.
“[CM Punk is] a different dude today. I told him not long ago, ‘Hey man, I really appreciate your attitude.’ And he said, ‘Well, that’s the first time someone’s ever said that to me.’”
