• Attitude Era Veteran Criticizes The Rock’s Wrestling Skills

Attitude Era Veteran Val Venis was recently interviewed on the Wrestling Shoot Interviews channel, where he – among other topics – spoke about former WWF main eventer Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who is now the #1 actor in Hollywood.

Here’s what Venis said:

“Now Rock I would never go to for advice on how to wrestle, because let’s face it Rock is not the best wrestler in the world.

He does very basic things but he’s smart enough to make those very basic things over like rover.

The most ridiculous elbow drop on the face of the planet, the elbow drop sucks but its the best elbow drop going.”

Val Venis wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation (later WWE) for 10 years from 1998 until 2008, and was eventually fired in January 2009.

He was on the same roster as The Rock between 1998 and 2002, before The Great One left WWE for his new career in Hollywood.
