• Backstage News On Bray Wyatt’s WWE Release

According to the Wrestling Observer, John Laurinaitis informed Bray Wyatt of his WWE release today. Wyatt was told it was due to budget cuts.

Wyatt was preparing for an in-ring return and was even being advertised for some WWE shows in August.

He’s in great shape as well right now. Below is a recent photo of him:

According to Fightful Select, Wyatt’s name came up during the various rounds of releases earlier this year, but WWE decided to keep him, until today.

Wyatt was also creatively frustrated with how WWE was booking his Fiend gimmick, and he grew protective of his character (The Undertaker advised him to do the same during an interview):

“The creative team had been relayed that Wyatt was getting protective of his character after what were seen as poor creative decisions and ideas thrown his way, though many members of the team didn’t speak to Wyatt directly.”

Wyatt’s last WWE match (where he performed as The Fiend) took place on Night 2 of WrestleMania 37, where he lost to Randy Orton.
