– Jey Uso was betrayed by his twin brother Jimmy Uso in the main event of SummerSlam two months ago, where he challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a Tribal Combat match.
The former Right Hand Man quit WWE after the shocking betrayal of his brother, but he was brought back by Cody Rhodes as a RAW Superstar at last month’s Payback Premium Live Event.
Jey and Cody formed a Tag Team and dethroned The Judgment Day as the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions at this past Saturday’s Fastlane Premium Live Event.
According to Fightful Select, Jey was held in high regard within WWE, but he’s excelling in other areas as well.
Per the report, Jey moved a lot of merchandise during WWE’s live events at the end of September. WWE had high expectations from “Main Event” Jey Uso as a singles star, and he has met those expectations so far.
– 2-Time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Gigi Dolin was signed by WWE back in 2021.
WWE changes names of many wrestlers when they sign with the company. Gigi was popular with her real name “Priscilla Kelly” on the independent circuit, and got renamed to Gigi Dolin in WWE.
WWE and Gigi agreed on her current in-ring name after discussing several names.
Speaking on Drinks with Johnny, Gigi revealed that she wanted to go with the name “Gigi Aileen” initially, but WWE did not want her to use that name because of the last name being the same as the first name of American serial killer Aileen Wuornos.
“I’m trying to remember what other first names did I come up with (for my WWE run). I know that I wanted the name Gigi Aileen was one that I liked but that one didn’t pass because of Aileen Wuornos. They were like, ‘No, we’re not doing that. That’s a serial killer. You can’t do that.’
We have Joe Gacy which is in the same ballpark but, I don’t know, I get it. They’re probably like, we already have Joe Gacy coming in around the same time as me and it was like, if I came in with another serial killer name, it was probably just gonna be a little overkill maybe. I don’t know (she laughed).”
