Otis Wins Money In The Bank

• Backstage News On If Otis Will Lose The Money In The Bank Contract

WWE SmackDown’s Otis shocked the fans after winning this year’s Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder match by defeating AJ Styles, Aleister Black, King Corbin, Rey Mysterio and Daniel Bryan back in May.

However, WWE hasn’t booked him the way they book usual Money In The Bank winners, with not even one proper tease to cash-in his contract.

As we noted earlier, there have been plans for Otis to drop the Money In The Bank briefcase.

However, plans may have changed, as WrestleVotes is reporting that although there have been ideas for it to happen, Vince McMahon being behind Otis’ push is a big obstacle in the way of WWE crowning a new Mr. Money In The Bank.

“There have been multiple pitched ideas to remove the MITB briefcase from Otis & make the storyline a main focus again, some of which are really decent ideas I’ve been told. However, and this is a big however, Otis’ biggest fan is Vince. So right now, no go.”

On this Friday’s Draft edition of SmackDown, Otis will appear in court for the emotional distress lawsuit The Miz filed against him.
