WWE made Survivor Series a brand war themed Premium Live Event after the Brand Split was brought back by the company in 2016.
The company moved away from the idea last year and held the first ever Survivor Series: WarGames premium live event, which was headlined by The Bloodline and Team Brawling Brutes in a War Games match.
WWE announced last month that this year’s Survivor Series will take place on Saturday, November 25th at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
However, WWE is currently advertising the event as “Survivor Series” only and not “Survivor Series: WarGames” like last year, which is why it is not confirmed if the event will be WarGames themed this year.
A fan questioned the Wrestling Observer if WWE will have War Games matches at Survivor Series this year.
They responded that although they don’t have any confirmation regarding it, WWE talent are of the belief that War Games will be a part of Survivor Series this year as well.
Below are the results of last year’s two War Games matches:
– Team Belair (Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim, and Becky Lynch) def. Team Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Nikki Cross, and Rhea Ripley)
– The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn) def. Team Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, Butch, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens)
