• Backstage News On What Tony Khan’s Major Announcement On AEW Dynamite Could Be

This coming Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan will make a major announcement.

Word going on is that it’s either going to be the announcement of an AEW-NJPW Supershow taking place in Chicago in June, or the announcement of AEW’s streaming service deal.

Earlier this year, NJPW’s IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada revealed that he wants to face CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, who currently work in All Elite Wrestling.

Below is what Okada said to Sports Illustrated:

“Danielson and Punk would make for some incredible matches. A lot of those dream match scenarios are about getting excited for the possibilities, and once the match is done, it’s done.

So it is important to keep that excitement and anticipation, I think.

Still, if we wait too long, they’ll both retire eventually, so I want to face them both while they’re still active.”

Last night Tony had a major announcement on Dynamite, it was that he had purchased ROH Wrestling.

Below is the match-card for Wednesday’s Dynamite:

– CM Punk vs. Dustin Rhodes

– Andrade El Idolo vs. Darby Allin in a Coffin Match

– AEW World Tag Team Champion Jungle Boy vs. Kyle O’Reilly in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Qualifier

– Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. vs. Danielle Kamela in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Qualifier

– Wardlow vs. The Butcher

– Hook vs. Tony Nese

– Tony Khan will make a huge announcement
