It has been over a month since CM Punk was fired from All Elite Wrestling. He returned to the company back in June and only lasted for over two months before AEW President Tony Khan decided to fire him after his brawl with “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry backstage at All In.

Following Punk’s release from AEW, rumors of him coming back to WWE surfaced online.

Over the past few weeks, there have been several reports stating that WWE and Punk are in talks. Punk also reportedly expressed interest in wanting to return to WWE and was even willing to do so at the Royal Rumble earlier this year when he was away from AEW.

According to Fightful Select, WWE higher-ups have told top talent that the company is not currently in talks with Punk about a WWE return and have said that any reports of Punk signing with WWE are false.

They do not want fans to think that the former WWE Champion will return to the company at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event in his hometown of Chicago in November.

Haus Of Wrestling reports that a source close to Punk stated today that the two sides are not working on his return to the company.
