• Backstage News On Whether WWE Is Planning To Turn Survivor Series Into A 2-Night Event
WWE has no current plans to expand Survivor Series into a two-night event, according to Fightful Select.
Survivor Series 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, November 29, at Petco Park in San Diego, California. This marks the first time the event will be held in an outdoor stadium and a Major League Baseball venue. Despite the trend of extending major events like WrestleMania and SummerSlam to two nights, Survivor Series will remain a single-night show.
Conversely, WWE has considered the possibility of turning the Royal Rumble into a two-night event. Fightful reports that internal discussions have taken place about this potential change. One proposed format involves hosting the Men’s Royal Rumble match on one night and the Women’s match on the other night.
However, these discussions are still in the early stages, and no definitive plans have been made.
The 2025 Royal Rumble occurred on February 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, attracting an attendance of 70,343. This event was notable for being the first Royal Rumble held in an active NFL stadium. The show ended up with Jey Uso eliminating John Cena to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
• Bad News For UK Fans Regarding WrestleMania
Despite ongoing discussions between WWE and London officials, the prospect of WrestleMania being held in the UK faces significant hurdles. According to Fightful Select, WWE is unlikely to host WrestleMania in London in the near future, primarily due to the absence of substantial site fee offers from the city.
Site fees have become a critical factor for WWE when selecting host cities for major events. For instance, WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas included a “meaningful payment” and other incentives from the host city, as revealed by TKO CFO Andrew Schleimer.
While London Mayor Sadiq Khan has expressed interest in bringing WrestleMania to the city, and meetings have taken place with WWE executives, the lack of a competitive financial package comparable to other cities diminishes London’s chances.
