Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Triple H and Wendy Choo.

• WWE has embarked on a transformative journey under the guidance of WWF Legend Triple H (Paul Levesque), demonstrating significant changes that have captivated audiences worldwide, including old school fans who had stopped watching the product.

One notable shift has been the occasional use of swearing in promos, a departure from the so called PG-era, as acknowledged by Triple H himself. This change marks a symbolic end to the PG-era on WWE TV.

While potential changes to TV programming, including RAW’s move to Netflix and NXT’s transition to CW, are being considered, no definitive decisions have been reached. The recent emphasis on maintaining a PG image seems to be diminishing, especially in non-television platforms and social media.

Fightful Select reported the following about WWE’s TV-PG rating in this new Triple H Era:

“Even if they rated their TV PG, it’s all subjective to what the sponsors say. It’s completely subjective in that sense.

Wrestling is in a position where they can have kid-friendly characters and not insult the intelligence of the audience and have a more centrical show than they been having.”

• Wendy Choo’s last match was almost a year ago. On the May 16, 2023 episode of NXT Level Up, she teamed up with Kelani Jordan to defeat Lola Vice & Elektra Lopez.

According to Fightful Select, Choo is expected to return to NXT TV from her injury soon:

“Wendy Choo has been out of action for quite some time, but was at the WWE Performance Center. Those Corey Brennan spoke to were hopeful for a return soon.”

As we reported a few days back, another injured wrestler that’s expected to return to WWE TV soon is Sonya Deville.

Deville has been sidelined since August following a torn ACL, with a projected recovery time of 9-12 months. While on hiatus, she navigated legal matters, including resolving a gun charge related to unlawful weapon possession, and celebrated her marriage in New Jersey this past February, a ceremony attended by numerous current and former WWE personalities.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Deville’s return is imminent, with the wrestler diligently preparing for her comeback following knee surgery.
