Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring WrestleMania 42 and The Undertaker.
• Backstage WWE Reaction To WrestleMania 42 News
WrestleMania 42 will no longer take place in New Orleans. The move is part of a larger agreement that will bring WrestleMania to the city at a future date.
Fightful Select reports that the news came as a surprise to many within WWE. One wrestler noted that this year’s WrestleMania announcement came unusually late, and the delay for next year’s reveal is even more noticeable.
Despite the surprise, most WWE talent reportedly aren’t too concerned. The company usually handles travel and logistics, so many had not yet started thinking about WrestleMania 42 or heard where it might take place.
WWE’s current leadership is comfortable waiting to announce major events, especially if there’s a chance to increase revenue.
Outside WWE, there was immediate frustration. WrestleCon had already locked in a venue in New Orleans for the same weekend. Other promotions had not yet signed contracts but had started early talks, as is standard nearly a year ahead of WrestleMania.
Now, many are scrambling to find out where the show is being moved.

• Female Veteran Feels Like An Equal To The Undertaker Now
Mickie James shared her experiences as the sole female coach on season 1 of WWE LFG, working alongside wrestling icons Booker T, Bubba Ray Dudley, and The Undertaker.
During an interview with Denise Salcedo, James confessed that being among such accomplished individuals made her question her own place. “There was a lot of like just like testing myself, even feeling like, was I worthy to be here coaching with these guys?” Mickie admitted. She pointed out that while Booker T and Bubba Ray have successful wrestling schools with notable alumni, she felt different, saying, “You know, I don’t have a school. I’ve done a few seminars, you know, the master class. I’ve done that, you know.”
Despite her insecurities, James developed a stronger bond with Booker T, appreciating his positive influence. “I got even closer, I think, to Booker T. He made me laugh every single day,” she shared.
Mickie also saw a new side of The Undertaker, who she previously knew as a stern figure in the WWE locker room. “You know, Bubba, Taker… I got to, I think, to know Undertaker in a different light that I had never really… I’d only seen him as the judge and the jury of the locker room, you know what I mean? But to then get to know him and feel as an equal, like that was pretty special, you know, with all these guys,” she explained.
James also reflected on being unique among the coaching staff. “They were all Hall of Famers. I was the only one that wasn’t a Hall of Famer and I was the first female coach, you know,” she noted.
