2. News On Sting’s Promo From Raw
As noted on Raw, a pre-recorded video of Sting was played. His voice was altered during that promo and it sounded heavier than what he sounds now.
That voice was inspired from the 1990’s gimmick The Black Scorpion, which was played by many wrestlers and feuded with Sting back in WCW.
There were a lot of people backstage who were confused with this decision and didn’t know the problem with Sting cutting a live promo in the ring.
