Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring WrestleMania and SmackDown.
• WrestleMania has long been speculated to take place in London, with Mayor Sadiq Khan showing strong interest in hosting it. However, it seems that London might not be getting WrestleMania in the near future.
While WWE had previously discussed the possibility of bringing WrestleMania to London, and even Triple H hyped up the idea, plans seem to be shifting. John Cena also supported the idea, believing London deserves to host the event after productive discussions between Triple H and Sadiq Khan earlier this year.
However, according to the Wrestling Observer, with the NFL expressing interest in holding the Super Bowl at Wembley Stadium in London, doing a WrestleMania in London is no longer a priority for WWE.
WrestleMania 41 is already set for Las Vegas, and a future WrestleMania event will take place in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis (confirmed by WWE). It remains uncertain when London will get its chance to host WrestleMania.
