• Bad News Regarding Jeff Hardy’s AEW Return

A few months back, former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy was arrested for DUI once again.

This led to AEW President Tony Khan suspending Hardy from All Elite Wrestling. Hardy then entered rehab.

A few weeks ago, Matt Hardy teased that we’re going to see a “new” Jeff soon:

“We’re getting close to the point where we meet the new Jeff and we figure out his future and what he ends up doing.

I’m pretty excited because I feel like his mentality is like — he knows he has to make some changes and do what’s right.

I feel like he’s at a point where he will this time around. I’m excited to have him back and I think this would be amazing. It’d be so much fun.”

However, PWInsider is reporting that Jeff won’t return to AEW programming until his legal matters have been resolved and he shows he can maintain sobriety:

“Hardy has a pre-trial hearing for his DUI related charges in Florida on Wednesday 10/19.

As we reported over the summer, Hardy’s attorneys waived his right to a speedy trial and requested a hearing set for July be pushed back 60 days to assist in his defense. The 10/19 date would be the rescheduled hearing.

Hardy is still officially with AEW, but is not expected to return from his suspension until his legal matters are cleared up and he’s shown he can maintain sobriety.

Hardy has been in treatment for some time after his arrest earlier this year.”

It’s safe to say that we won’t be seeing Jeff Hardy in AEW anytime soon.
