On this week’s episode of NXT, Dana Brooke lost to Cora Jade. During the match, fans began chanting for Cora despite her being a heel and Dana being a babyface.
Dana then began trending on Twitter, after several fans tweeted that Dana isn’t good in the ring.
This led to Dana tweeting the following:
“Alright I get it, y’all think I suck… Got it, NOTED, Awesome… &…”
Vince Russo commented the following under the tweet:
“I don’t. I know you work your ARSE Off!!!”
Dana replied:
“Thank You! RESPECT! You know the deal.”
Bayley also showed support for Dana by replying the following:
“They’re idiots!!!!!!!!”
Multi-time Women’s Champion Mickie James said the following about WWE’s decision to send Dana back to NXT on Busted Open Radio:
“I felt like Dana Brooke was the wrong choice to send to NXT in the first place. It’s one thing when you send a Seth Rollins or you send [Natalya] back, because they have the respect and they’re workhorses, you know what I mean?
Dana was taught the WWE style system, and now there’s this whole new generation of that same kind of system, but more elaborate.
That audience never really truly respected Dana when she was down there before, and then that’s one of the reasons why they moved her up to the main roster.
I love Dana. I’ve worked with Dana. I think she’s a fabulous person. I think she has tried really, really hard, in the last couple of years especially, to be more respected for her in-ring work and for her ability.”
