According to the Dirty Sheets, Vince McMahon & Triple H have different ideas regarding who they want to see as Universal Champion after WrestleMania 35.

Vince McMahon wants Braun Strowman to walk into WrestleMania 35 as the Universal Champion (which means Vince wants him to defeat Brock Lesnar to win the Title) and have him drop the Title to Drew McIntyre.

On the other hand, Triple H wants Brock Lesnar to walk into WrestleMania 35 as the Universal Champion and have Seth Rollins defeat him to win the Title. Triple H believes Rollins can fill the void that Roman Reigns’ departure has created and that’s why HHH is keen on saving the big win over Lesnar for Rollins.

The bad news for Strowman is that neither Vince nor Triple H view him as a longterm top WWE babyface and that’s why Triple H is adamant on having Rollins go over Lesnar instead of Strowman.

On the other hand, whether McIntyre ends up being in the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 35 or not, WWE has big plans for McIntyre in 2019 as he’s expected to have a run as a proper main event heel and almost all WWE officials believe that he’s going to become World Champion next year.

That’s the reason why McIntyre has been heavily protected ever since he returned to the WWE main roster earlier this year.

He has only been pinned twice since then and both of those losses weren’t clean (Finn Balor attacked him during one loss and Dolph Ziggler in the other).
