1. Big Update On SummerSlam 2017 & WrestleMania 34 Main Event Plans Remain Unchanged (Nobody Wants To Even Pitch A New Idea For WrestleMania 34 Main Event To Vince McMahon)

As we noted before, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that plans for the SummerSlam 2017 & WrestleMania 34 main event have been changed and that WWE officials are now planning to do Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at SummerSlam 2017 instead of WrestleMania 34. This would’ve meant that Reigns is going to defeat Braun Strowman in their Ambulance match this Sunday at the Great Balls of Fire 2017 PPV.

However, that might not be the case anymore. Billi Bhatti is reporting that WWE is sticking to their original plans for SummerSlam 2017 and WrestleMania 34 main events – Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman for the Universal Title at SummerSlam and Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at WrestleMania. As a matter of fact, the WWE writers don’t even want to waste any time on pitching a new idea for the WrestleMania 34 main event and then eventually be turned down by Vince McMahon.

This would mean that Strowman will defeat Reigns this Sunday and as we noted yesterday, Strowman is indeed the favorite to win the Ambulance match according to the betting odds.

All the confusion regarding the SummerSlam 2017 main event will be cleared next week after we’re done with the Great Balls of Fire PPV & Monday Night Raw.
