12. Big Update On Why Austin Aries Requested His Release From WWE

WWE Raw/205 Live wrestler Austin Aries requested his release from WWE and it was granted. Below is what WWE posted on their website:

“WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Austin Aries. WWE wishes Aries the best in all of his future endeavors.”

According to PWTorch, Aries wasn’t happy being labelled as a “Cruiserweight wrestler” and being put on the 205 Live show (which majority of the fans aren’t interested in watching). He thinks he has much more to offer than just being a part of a division where there are no major storylines and most of their PPV matches are on the Kickoff show.

Also, it is being said that Aries having an attitude problem backstage might have resulted in WWE easily granting his release. Aries is now expected to start working Indy shows soon.
