Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Bobby Lashley and SmackDown.

• Bobby Lashley and MVP left WWE several weeks ago and are reportedly exploring the idea of reuniting their Hurt Business faction, with Shelton Benjamin, in All Elite Wrestling.

Recently, Totally Harmless Concept LLC filed a trademark for “The Hurt Syndicate”, the same company that previously trademarked MVP-related terms.

According to Fightful Select, discussions have taken place between the group and AEW about continuing a similar faction to The Hurt Business outside WWE.

Talks with MVP, Lashley, and Benjamin have occurred, but no deal has been finalized or is imminent.

With speculating going rampant about them joining AEW, Lashley posted a photo of his top championship victories in pro-wrestling and wrote:

“The journey is far from over… #TitleChasing”

• SmackDown will return to the USA Network with tonight’s episode. Last week, the USA Network website displayed the following new logo for SmackDown:

However, it looks like this isn’t the new logo. WrestleVotes revealed a new logo today and reported the following:

“Attached is potentially the new SmackDown logo, which was sent over anonymously and not denied by another source within the company.

It’s unclear whether the logo will debut tonight or sometime in the fall/winter, amidst other changes coming to WWE TV.”
