• Bollywood Legend Jokes About Beating “The Undertaker” 25 Years Ago Today

The Undertaker character appeared in the Bollywood (Indian) movie “Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi” in 1996.

However, it was the “Fake Undertaker” played by Brian Lee (who was also seen playing the Fake Undertaker character in the WWF in 1994).

In this movie, Undertaker represented Underworld Don Maya. He used to fight for her in illegal wrestling matches for the purpose of betting. (Fake) Undertaker battled WWF Superstar Crush and Bollywood Legend Akshay Kumar in this movie.

This movie ended up becoming the 6th highest-grossing movie of 1996 in India.

Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi was released 25 years ago today and Akshay Kumar tweeted the following about it with a meme:

“A hilarious note to mark 25 years to the release of #KhiladiyonKaKhiladi!

A fun fact though: it was wrestler Brian Lee who played The Undertaker in the film 😊 “

• Old School NWA Legend Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 62nd birthday of Old School NWA Legend “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer (Real name: Bruce Woyan).

Buzz Sawyer wrestled for several territories during the 70s & 80s, most famously Jim Crockett Promotions, Mid-South Wrestling, Pacific Northwest Wrestling and Georgia Championship Wrestling.

He also had a brief run for the World Wrestling Federation in 1984, where he was known as “Bulldog” Buzz Sawyer.

In the 80s, a young Mark Calaway (now known as The Undertaker) paid him to get trained, but Sawyer bailed on him, took the money and moved elsewhere.

Buzz was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021 as part of their annual “Legacy Wing” inductions.
