We recently reported that Ryback challenged Booker T to a real-life fight scenario, after not being allowed to speak his mind on Booker T’s podcast.

The 5-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion then accepted Ryback’s challenge, but The Big Guy seemed to back off by demanding a payday for the fight to actually happen.

Here’s what Booker T said on his ‘Hall of Fame’ podcast:

“I was listening to Ryback talk, and he said he wanted to get paid for the fight.

So you want somebody to set it up and he’ll fight me and it’ll be Ryback vs. WWE, and I represent WWE.

I don’t know why WWE came into this. This is supposed to be between Ryback and I. It’s supposed to be hand and hand.

It’s supposed to be like back in the day, I’m talking about two gunslingers back to back. Ten paces, bang bang!

I thought that was going to be something like that, but now he’s talking about he has to get paid, and this, that, and whatnot.”

Booker T wrestled for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling from 1993 until the company was bought by Vince McMahon in March 2001, and jumped ship right away, coming into the World Wrestling Federation as the reigning WCW World Heavyweight Champion a few months later.

He wrestled for the WWF (renamed WWE in May 2002) until 2007 and then joined Dixie Carter’s Total Nonstop Action! (TNA) till late 2009 and eventually returned to WWE in 2011 as a part time wrestler and color commentator, among other non-wrestling roles.
