• Tonight’s episode of SmackDown in Tampa concluded with two dark matches and an emotional post-show celebration.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Bianca Belair and Dakota Kai defeated Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville in the first dark match.
In the second, Jey Uso faced Chad Gable, with The Bloodline attempting to ambush Jey afterward. Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman intervened, leaving Jey, Zayn, and Strowman standing tall.
After the match, Zayn hyped the crowd, promising “The OTC” Roman Reigns would defeat Solo Sikoa on January 6, and reflected on WWE’s successful 2024.
Strowman talked about facing tough times in recent years with the deaths of his close friends. He then paid tribute to Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper, inviting their children, Knash and Brodie Jr., into the ring for a heartfelt moment. The night ended with Jey, Zayn, and Strowman declaring themselves “the new Bloodline,” honoring Wyatt and Harper’s legacy.

• Seth Rollins honored the late Jonathan Huber (Brodie Lee in AEW and Luke Harper in WWE) during WWE’s Live Event at Madison Square Garden on December 26, coinciding with the four-year anniversary of Lee’s passing.
Huber passed away in 2020 at age 41 due to a lung condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
During his match against Dominik Mysterio, Rollins paid tribute by using Lee’s signature “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” call, joining the wrestling community in remembering the beloved star.
