UPDATE: Cause Of Bray Wyatt’s Death Released
Wyatt returned to WWE last year at Extreme Rules 2022 and only had one televised match, which was at the Royal Rumble earlier this year, where he defeated LA Knight in a Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match.
He was written off television due to an illness in late February. He was scheduled to face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39, which got canceled.
Earlier this month, Fightful Select reported that the illness Wyatt was dealing with was both career and life threatening.
According to RSN, a lot of people in WWE didn’t know what Wyatt was dealing with because of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) laws:
“There are HIPAA laws in place preventing the dissemination of that information, even corporately.”
During a recent interview with SK Wrestling, Wyatt’s father Mike Rotunda (WWF Legend IRS) said the following about his son:
“You read a lot of stuff on the internet, which I wouldn’t believe a lot of it or, in my case, any of it. So, Bray Wyatt, I’m sure will return to WWE hopefully shortly and we’ll go from there.”
We extend our deepest condolences to Wyatt’s family and friends.
RIP Bray Wyatt
