Bray Wyatt returned to WWE at Extreme Rules last year and shocked the entire pro wrestling world. His first feud back was with LA Knight, which was also the only feud he had in his latest run in WWE.

The Eater Of Worlds only competed in one on-screen match, which was the Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match against Knight at Royal Rumble 2023, which he won.

WWE teased a feud between Wyatt and Bobby Lashley on the road to WrestleMania 39, but it was dropped as he was forced to be off TV due to an illness. He last appeared on WWE programming in late February, and has been on the sidelines since then.

As noted before, BWE reported that Wyatt would make his return during one of the main events at SummerSlam, but that did not happen.

After that, PWInsider reported that WWE not bringing back Wyatt is a by-product of them being very careful about his health.

Fightful Select is now reporting that Wyatt is closing in on his return. He’s not cleared yet, but he’s getting closer to being cleared and creative ideas have been coming up for the first time since he’s been away.

These plans are for September, although the plans will be of no use if he’s not cleared to return by then.

If things go as planned, WWE could have the former Universal Champion back by the Payback premium live event next month on September 2nd.
