• Vader Announced For WWE Hall Of Fame 2022

WWE announced the following today:

Vader to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022

“As first reported by Bleacher Report, Vader will be posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2022. The Mastodon will be enshrined in the hallowed hall during the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony as part of WrestleMania Week.

The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place Friday, April 1, at American Airlines Center in Dallas as part of WrestleMania Week. The event will stream live exclusively on Peacock in the U.S. and WWE Network everywhere else.

In addition, for the first time in history, WWE will present both Friday Night SmackDown and the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony live on the same night at American Airlines Center, giving all fans in attendance an unprecedented opportunity to witness both events for one price. Tickets for the special 2-for-1 SmackDown + Hall of Fame are now available via Ticketmaster.”

Below are Vader’s major accomplishments in Pro-Wrestling:

– 3x WCW World Heavyweight Champion

– 1x WCW United States Heavyweight Champion

– 3x IWGP Heavyweight Champion in NJPW

– 1x IWGP Tag Team Champion

– 2x Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion in AJPW

– 1x AJPW World Tag Team Champion

Vader passed away in 2018. The only other name announced for this Hall Of Fame class is The Undertaker, who will be the headliner and will be inducted by Vince McMahon.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (March 7, 2017) – Old School WWF Veteran Passed Away

On this day in 2017, we lost Old School WWF Veteran “The Outlaw” Ron Bass (Real name: Ronald Heard) at the age of 68 due to complications following a surgery.

Ron Bass wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation between 1987 and 1989, most notably feuding with Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, but he also had several matches against guys like The Junkyard Dog, Outback Jack,Hillbilly Jim, Sam Houston and Lanny Poffo.

He retired from the sport of professional wrestling in 1991.
