• WWE Planning A Huge Push For SmackDown Live Star

Former NXT Champion and current SmackDown Live Superstar Andrade “Cien” Almas never fails to impress whenever he steps in the ring.

Almas faced WWE Champion AJ Styles on an episode of SmackDown Live last week and it was possibly WWE trying to check if Almas can work in the ring with main event talents.

The match was quite impressive, specially based on the time it was given. Fans were invested into it and it also got a lot of attention backstage. Almas did what he had to, that is to get people talking about him.

The match also sparked further interest in the pairing of Almas with Zelina Vega.

PWInsider reports that WWE is planning to give Almas a huge push soon. He may feud with Samoa Joe or AJ Styles after SummerSlam 2018 (or with other top level SmackDown Live talent).

‘El Idolo’ was originally supposed to win the United States Championship from Jeff Hardy but he was replaced by Shinsuke Nakamura.

• British Wrestling Show Draws Big Time Viewership – 4 Times That Of Impact Wrestling

World of Sport Wrestling made their return to the big screen this past Saturday. The company’s return was quite remarkable as it drew 1.2 million viewers on ITV, making it the highest-rated British wrestling show in more than three decades.

WOS was one of the most popular shows during its initial run many years ago, with last night’s premiere episode of the new season seemingly being a big success. Stu Bennett, formerly known as Wade Barrett in WWE, played a general manager role whilst Rampage Brown won the WOS Championship in the main event.

This is quite an impressive viewership number, which is about 4 times more than what Impact Wrestling draws in USA.

WWE’s SmackDown Live currently draws about twice that number, but Vince McMahon could very well be concerned about this.

Hopefully WWE can do something similar with their new NXT: UK brand.
