On this day in Pro Wrestling history on June 27th 1999, the WWF aired ‘King of the Ring 1999’ on PPV from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

In the main event Stone Cold Steve Austin defended his control over the World Wrestling Federation against Vince McMahon & Shane McMahon in a ladder match, while The Undertaker defended his WWF World Heavyweight Championship against The Rock in the co-main event.

During the actual tournament we had 4 (at that point former) DX members (X-Pac, Road Dogg, Chyna & Billy Gunn) in the quarter finals.
