6. Very Good News For SmackDown Live

In what turns out to be a very good news for WWE SmackDown Live, this week’s Draft edition of the show did very good compared to their previous numbers. As a matter of fact, this week’s SmackDown outdrew this week’s Raw in terms of viewers.

This week’s SmackDown Live drew 3.17 million viewers, which is up from last week’s 2.07 million viewers. Raw drew 3.13 million viewers this week and 3.17 million viewers last week (as we noted earlier in this article). This is the highest SmackDown viewership in over 3 years.

Speaking of the Draft, real life couples Paige/Alberto Del Rio & Big Cass/Carmella were split during the Draft. Paige was drafted to Raw, Del Rio was drafted to SmackDown, Big Cass was drafted to Raw and Carmella was drafted to SmackDown.

5. Tajiri Advances In The Cruiserweight Classic, Will He Return To Raw?

Former WWF Light Heavyweight Champion & Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri advanced to the second round of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic tournament. He defeated Damian Slater in Round 1 and you can watch him in action below:

He will now face Gran Metalik in the second round of CWC. Speaking of CWC, former WWE wrestler The Brian Kendrick’s first round match will air next week.

As noted on Raw, Stephanie McMahon announced the return of the Cruiserweight Division (which will be exclusive to Raw). Word is that a lot of CWC competitors will be featured in the division and this would mean that Tajiri will return to Raw as a part of the division (as noted by us before, Tajiri signed a deal with WWE and was expected to return to the main roster).
