• Brock Lesnar Rejected Major WrestleMania 39 Match

As seen on this week’s episode of RAW, Brock Lesnar vs. Omos was made official for WrestleMania 39.

At one point, the following names were rumored to face Lesnar at WrestleMania 39:

– Gunther

– Bobby Lashley

– Bray Wyatt

Many fans are upset about Lesnar facing Omos, as they think this would be an appropriate match for an event like Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, and not the biggest show of the year.

According to WrestleVotes, this match was booked by none other than Vince McMahon.

According to Fightful Select, Lesnar was pitched a match against Wyatt and he rejected it:

“We’re not sure necessarily when Bray Wyatt was pitched as a possible opponent for WrestleMania, but he was mentioning it as recently as right before WWE Elimination Chamber.

Sources familiar with the situation claim that Brock himself nixed the idea, though we weren’t given specifics as to why.”

Last year, Stone Cold Steve Austin was pitched a match against Lesnar at WrestleMania 39 and The Texas Rattlesnake turned it down.

• Old School WWF Attitude Era Diva Celebrates Her Birthday

Old School WWF Attitude Era Diva Debra McMichael celebrates her 63rd birthday today.

Debra was married to WrestleMania XI celebrity & former SuperBowl winner Steve “Mongo” McMichael, whom she accompanied as a valet in Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling from 1995 until she divorced him in 1998 and left the company.

After joining the World Wrestling Federation in October 1998, she became the valet of “Double J” Jeff Jarrett, whom she knew from a storyline both were in during their time in WCW.

Debra eventually ended up falling in love with the company’s #1 guy at that time, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

The two got married and she changed her name to Debra Williams, also managing her husband on WWF TV at that time, until both left the promotion in June 2002 due to creative differences.

A month later, Austin filed for divorce, which was finalized in early 2003.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBRA!
