• “I made a deal with the devil and I did my job, and they owe me a retirement match” – Goldberg
WCW Legend Bill Goldberg hasn’t wrestled a match in over a year now, after not being able to defeat Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at the Elimination Chamber premium live event in Saudi Arabia on February 19th 2022.
The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion appeared on 929ESPN radio in December and said he will wrestle again at some point, as he doesn’t want to go out with a loss to The Tribal Chief.
During a new interview with Sports Illustrated, Goldberg said WWE owes him a rematch.
Below is what the 2018 WWE Hall Of Famer said:
“You never say never, especially in wrestling, and they owe me one. That’s all I can say. I made a deal with the devil and I did my job, and they owe me a retirement match.
At the end of the day, at 56, it’s not something where I’m sitting by the phone waiting for a call. I’ve got a few ideas of how to do it on my own, possibly in Israel.
So never say never.”
Below are the results of Goldberg’s last 5 matches:
WrestleMania 36 (Night 1) – Lost the Universal Championship to Braun Strowman
Royal Rumble 2021 – Lost to Drew McIntyre in a WWE Championship match
SummerSlam 2021 – Lost to Bobby Lashley via Referee Stoppage in a WWE Championship match
Crown Jewel 2021 – Defeated Bobby Lashley in a No Holds Barred Falls Count Anywhere match
Elimination Chamber 2022 – Lost to Roman Reigns in a Universal Championship match
