• Brock Lesnar Reportedly Told People In WWE That He’s “Finishing Up”
As we reported before, Brock Lesnar was originally scheduled to defeat Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber 2023.
However, on the SmackDown before this PLE, Bray Wyatt announced that he’s coming after the winner of Lesnar vs. Lashley.
Brock was pitched a match against Wyatt at WrestleMania 39, but he turned it down.
Due to this, WWE was forced to change the finish of Lesnar vs. Lashley III, and they went with Lesnar losing via DQ, which now leads to Wyatt vs. Lashley at WrestleMania Hollywood.
According to PWInsider, Lesnar was saying goodbye to some people backstage at Elimination Chamber and mentioned that he’s “finishing up”.
No one knows at the moment what Lesnar meant by “finishing up”, but usually his contract is up during WrestleMania time, so it’s possible he’s teasing retirement to get a better deal from WWE.
A few years back, Lesnar leveraged UFC to get a better deal with WWE.
Lesnar is scheduled to face Omos at WrestleMania 39.
WWE will return to Saudi Arabia for a premium live event on May 27th and Brock always works those events due to the big payday.
