• Brock Lesnar Respected Late WWF Legend
During an appearance on the Sportskeeda podcast, former WWE Champion JBL talked about Brock Lesnar and revealed an interesting insight about The Beast.
JBL noted that Lesnar respected the late, great WWF Legend “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig.
Here’s what JBL said:
“We had a lot of fun. Brock really looked up to Curt Hennig and really respected Curt Hennig. Curt Hennig helped break me in, he rode with Curt, and I was good friends with Curt, so because of that, I traveled a lot with Brock.”
For those who don’t know, Lesnar & Hennig had a fight during WWF’s Plane Ride From Hell, which resulted in Hennig being fired from the WWF (tap here to read the story).
After Hennig passed away, Lesnar got emotional during a WWE interview and said the following about his friendship with Curt:
“It was a lot of sides I saw of Curt that other people didn’t because I got to be very close with him. You know, Curt had a very serious side, his love… (pauses). There wasn’t a day that he didn’t talk to me.
He was talking about his kids and his wife, he carried the photos in his wallet. Any time I went out with Curt, whether it was Poker, whether it was throwing darts, whether it was pool, the guy couldn’t lose.”
