Brock Lesnar’s absence from WWE television following his match against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023 has sparked extensive speculation about his future with the company. Despite not being seen on TV, Lesnar was recently spotted in Nashville after attending a concert.
Initially, Lesnar was scheduled to participate in the 2024 Royal Rumble match, but legal issues related to Vince McMahon’s lawsuit disrupted these plans. In addition to his TV absence, Lesnar has faced other setbacks, such as being left out of the WWE 2K24 video game’s roster and removed from WWE Creative’s future plans. These events have fueled speculation and raised questions regarding Lesnar’s future with the company.
Nearly a year has passed since Lesnar’s last appearance, and many fans believe he might return at SummerSlam on August 3rd. Amid rampant speculation about his comeback, the band Red Clay Strays posted several photos on their Instagram from their recent concert at the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 31st, showing Lesnar backstage with the band.
“Feels like a Marvel movie with all these cameos. Album release show last night was a success Big thanks to @theovon for coming out and introducing us. Triple H has indicated his willingness to bring Brock Lesnar back, but legal issues are currently preventing Lesnar’s return to WWE television.
During an interview with The Daily Mail, Triple H was asked about Lesnar’s return status. WWE’s Chief Content Officer said Brock’s return depends on one thing – The Beast’s own mood:
“You’d have to ask Brock Lesnar that. Brock kind of does his own thing. He’s up in Canada, I’m sure, watching his kids play hockey and enjoying life. If and when he decides he would like to do something, we’d be open to the conversation. We’ll see.”
Nonetheless, there’s a possibility Lesnar might come back at SummerSlam this Saturday, just as he did in 2021. We’ll have to wait and see.
