Mark Henry is now witnessing a new generation take the spotlight. His son, Jacob Henry, has officially signed with WWE, confirming previous speculations about his WWE interest.
At the Remix Rumble event, Mark Henry showcased his DJ talents, entertaining the crowd with popular wrestling theme songs that had everyone singing along. During this event, Jacob Henry took the microphone to make a significant announcement.
Amidst chants of “NXT” from the audience, Jacob Henry revealed that he is joining WWE. He also mentioned that his contract is already finalized, making it official.
Here’s what Jacob said:
“The crowd is out here tonight, you seem pretty lively. I think it’s time, I think it’s time for people to know. For those who don’t know, I’ll tell you what’s going on in my life.
I am a collegiate wrestler at the University of Oklahoma. But, some big news that will come out in the next couple of days.
I think you guys should be the first to know that I’m going to be a future superstar and it’s been put on paper. I have officially signed a deal with the WWE.”
Jacob Henry was a standout athlete in high school, making his transition to WWE quite logical. Additionally, his father’s significant influence played a crucial role in advancing his career. Although being Mark Henry’s son initially gave Jacob an advantage, he will soon need to prove himself independently.
Mark Henry left AEW recently after his contract expired and is now a free agent. He continues to appear on Busted Open Radio, and it remains to be seen if he will return to WWE.
It’s plausible that he might want to be involved in his son’s WWE career at some point.
