Carmella Hurt At NXT Live Event, James Storm At Ringside?

During last night’s NXT Live Event in Nashville, Carmella faced Eva Marie. During the match, Carmella took a bump and landed on the back of her head after a knee from Eva Marie. Eva got the win but it looked like Carmella was seriously injured. The referee threw the “X” sign and the trainers came in to check on Carmella. Carmella left the ring crying while the crowd chanted “please retire” at Eva Marie.

Several fans who attended last night’s NXT Live Event from Nashville noted that former TNA World Heavyweight Champion James Storm was seated ringside for the event. However, James Storm tweeted that it wasn’t him.

Speaking of NXT, below is what the match-card for NXT Takeover: Respect looks like:
– Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament semi-final: Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe vs. The Mechanics (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder)
– Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament semi-final: Jason Jordan and Chad Gable vs. Baron Corbin and Rhyno
– Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament final
– Apollo Crews vs. Tyler Breeze
– Asuka vs. Dana Brooke
– 30-minute Iron Man match for the NXT Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Sasha Banks

It is being speculated that the team of Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe might “explode” at the event, which would lead to a title match between the two at NXT Takeover: London in December. It should be noted that the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament will be presented with the trophy by Cody Rhodes & Dustin Rhodes (a.k.a Goldust). Cody won’t be appearing under his Stardust gimmick. This means Cody Rhodes will return to WWE programming as himself after a year & a half. Below is what he told Triblive.com:

“It’s great though that you ask, because the Dusty Rhodes tag tournament taking place in NXT is something he would really be proud of because of all the platforms it gives to talent, including independent talent that came in for a shot to win the Dusty Rhodes tag tournament. I will actually be there myself, (as) me — for the first time a while on WWE programming — Cody Rhodes and my brother will be there to present the trophy, which I’m looking forward to seeing.”
