• Champion Got Injured During AEW Fyter Fest (Night 2) This Week

During this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, which was a special Fyter Fest (Night 2) episode, Britt Baker defeated Nyla Rose to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Britt suffered a broken wrist during this match, but she noted on Twitter that she won’t be taking any time off due to this injury.

She attended last night’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event. She posted a photo with former UFC fighter Paige VanZant (who lost to Rachael Ostovich at this event) backstage.

Here’s what Britt wrote:

“With @paigevanzant…And oh yeah, I retained the title on Wednesday night at #aewdynamite with a broken wrist. Not taking any time off either. #AndStill”

As seen in the above photo, Britt is wearing a cast.

• Old School WCW/WWF Diva Celebrates Her Birthday

Old School WCW/WWF Diva Torrie Wilson celebrates her 46th birthday today.

Torrie Wilson was first seen on WCW TV in early 1999 when the New World Order faction used her to seduce David Flair.

Later on, she became the valet of the Filthy Animals and Shane Douglas, before she was fired in late 2000.

The World Wrestling Federation signed Wilson to a contract in 2001, where she would join the WCW/ECW Alliance during the infamous invasion storyline.

Torrie worked for the company (later renamed WWE) until 2008, but returned on several occasions, like the WrestleMania 25 Women’s Battle Royal or the 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble match.

In 2019, she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by her close personal friend, fellow WCW/WWF Diva Stacy Keibler.
